Carmel Country Inn understands how important your pets are and we gladly welcome them. We ask the follow the guidelines outlined below, as it’s a privilege to be able to experience Carmel by the Sea with your extended family. We’ll provide you with sheets to cover the bedding and furniture, a placemat for food and water, a list of places your pet can go in the area, and pet sitters and daycare options. We provide a place to clean your pets, a pet turf relief area, mutt mitts and a garbage can. Most importantly, we provide lots of attention, treats and a photo op for your pets!

The residents of Carmel-by-the-Sea love their pets as well, so your pets are welcomed most everywhere, as long as they are quiet and well behaved. The residents do not like seeing or hearing pets who are not behaving and will call law enforcement whether on inn property, downtown or on the beach.

We ask that you not leave your pet in your guest room or vehicle unattended.

You are responsible for your pet(s) behavior. Barking, damage or excessive carpet soiling, sand, hair and odor to the guest rooms, lobby kitchen or outdoor property area that your pet may damage may result in additional charges or being asked to depart the property prior to your scheduled departure date

PLEASE DO NOT let your dogs go into the neighbor’s yard to the south (left) to relieve themselves, and do NOT throw waste in their garbage cans.
