What a great Christmas present! American Way Magazine, American Airlines’ in-flight magazine did a story on “Low Key Carmel” for the holidays and Carmel Country Inn was selected because of our festive outdoor decor and Christmas Stockings from Santa for our pet guests! Check out the full article and plan your low key Carmel trip with your very important pet guest now!
Tescher Cat here, – Happy Spring to everyone. The gals have come up with a FREE addition to some of the rooms when you book our Carmel Country Inn room in April. Book any of our King Studios or Deluxe King Suites, Sunday – Thursday for the month of April 2014, and you’ll find a Sweet & Bubbly Inn-dulgence upon arrival. Enjoy it in front of your romantic fireplace or in you spacious whirlpool tub (split of champagne & chocolates) at our pet friendly Carmel Bed and Breakfast. Valid on reservations made March 26, 2014 or later. Not valid on the Queen Studio or Two Bedroom Suite rooms.
I hope you like the photo of the bunnies. The gals had thought (briefly, I might add) about putting bunny ears on me and taking a photo, then they rethought – thank goodness!
Who says the gals are the only ones who can provide excellent concierge services at our pet friendly Carmel bed and breakfast? I happen to know all about the wonderful restaurants, many of which are within walking distance from our Pet Friendly Carmel Bed & Breakfast. No matter what type of food you are hungry for, Carmel-by-the-Sea has it all. This menu book has menus and photos from Italian, French, Mediterranean, Middle Eastern, Chinese, Japanese, Seafood, Cafes, Bistros, Pubs & Bakeries – whew! that’s a mouth full.
Some of the gals favorites are Little Napoli & Vesuvio for Italian, Anton & Michel & Andres Bouchee for French, Da Giovanni & Dametra for Mediteranian, Yafa, our newest Middle Eastern restaurant, a local favorite, Tommy’s Wok for Chinese and Anoki & Sushi Heaven for Japanese. There is Grasings & Christopher’s on Lincoln for fresh, coastal cuisine and Flying Fish Grill for the best fresh fish ever. Even my pal and Carmel neighbor Clint, (you know, Eastwood) owns a restaurant called Mission Ranch. They have great steaks. Clint doesn’t take reservations at his place but if I call and tell them “Tescher Cat” is on the line, he’ll pick up 🙂
Check out this drawing that Abbey & Madison, recent guests, did of me sleeping in the chair in the lobby and the table with the other artwork people have sent of me. These gals really know how to treat a Cat! The petted me, snuggled with me and even gave me a few treats! I am available to any guest at the Carmel Country Inn needing a little cuddling, just come on by and sit down near me. Great job Abbey & Madison – I thank you.
The gardeners have been hard at work this week planting all the pretty springtime flowers and I have been supervising. It’s been warm and sunny and I just love the smell of potting soil. Check out our Facebook Page to see a photo of the first roses of spring. The Daffodils just finished blooming and now the Calla lilies, Alstromerias, Honeywort, Cinerarias, Impatiens, Camelias, Fuchsias (the Fuchsias are the humming birds favorites) the Jasmine blooms make me sneeze and so many other flowers are blooming in our Carmel gardens that I would have to get out the Sunset Western Garden book to name all of them. The gals have been out to Carmel Valley to the flower nurseries there to select all the pretty spring colors. Gotta go now and roll around in the sunshine. Be sure to plan a trip soon to our Carmel Bed and Breakfast while all the pretty flowers are in full bloom!
My new friend, Marilyn Krieger, CCBC (that stands for Certified Cat Behavior Consultant) stayed here at our Pet Friendly Hotel in Carmel with her sister and mom, oh, and cutie pie Abigail, mom’s dog, and she thinks I’m perfect (like it takes an expert to tell me that).
Marilyn is a famous Certified Cat Behavior Consultant and she not only has a blog, but she also has a website, and is a contributing writer to Cat Fancy Magazine and Animal Planet’s Cats 101, so she knows a perfect cat like me when she sees one.
If you have one of those “typical” naughty felines, give Marilyn a call today and tell her you want your cat to be more like Carmel Country Inn’s Resident Cat, me, Tescher Cat.
Check out Zorro, he is my twin, no kidding! He’s younger than me, but now that his people and his dog have stayed with us here at Carmel Country Inn, I have contact with him and can teach him a lot. His people say he’s already king of his neighborhood in Sacramento, just like I’m the king here at Carmel Country Inn. Too bad Zorro doesn’t like to travel, because you know Carmel Country is the most Pet Friendly Inn in Carmel. Zorro’s people actually saw my mug and decided they just had to stay here at Carmel Country Inn, so they could meet me. I was right all along….It really is all about me!
I am celebrating the entire month of June, my Sweet 16th Birthday.
I am getting one of my favorite foods daily: Cantaloupe – yep, that’s right, Cantaloupe. I don’t like it cold, so the gals at our Carmel bed and breakfast smash it up and microwave it for 10 seconds to take the chill of it.
The guests at our Carmel B&B are taking my photos while I am enjoying my snack.
Yes indeed, we are all hard at work getting the most pet friendly Inn in Carmel ready for all our summer pet guests. Me and Paintman are painting the lobby/kitchen.
This guy had a lot of things that don’t smell like me, so I’m hard at work checking it all out and getting our pet friendly scent on them. Not to worry, all our Very Important Pet Guests Photos of previous Carmel Country Inn Pet Guests are all still on display on the “wall of woof” as well as on our Facebook page.
Come see me soon at our pet friendly Carmel bed and breakfast!
The rainy weather has headed East (as of last Friday) and it’s beautiful day for the beach at our Carmel CA Bed and Breakfast. Check out this photo the gals took today. The first rose in our Carmel CA Bed and Breakfast garden is blooming too. We have plenty of availability the next 2 weeks during the week, so give the gals a call in enjoy this great Carmel weather.
