Sunset Center Carmel Hosts Annual Outdoor Holiday Craft Show on 11/17!

For all you gals, well guys too I guess, on Saturday, November 17, 2012, Carmel will once again hold it’s annual Famous Outdoor Holiday Craft Show at the Sunset Center Carmel from 9am-3pm. The fair features various artists and craftpeople, many from Carmel-by-the-Sea.

May Events near Carmel Country Inn

A nice lady from the Tor House just came by our Carmel Inn to give us information on the Tor House Spring Garden Party, on Sunday, May 6 from 2pm-5pm. They are going to have tours, music and food – I can’t attend, because they are not pet friendly, but that’s okay. I know Robinson Jeffers’ great somebody or the other who still lives there part time so I get my own private tour anytime I want (she’s a cat lover!). With all the flowers, they have great birds over at the Tor House.

Another fun weekend is the Cooking for Solutions events at the Monterey Bay Aquarium, May 18-20 where 70 famous chefs (yeah, I’m friends with some of them too) and 60 wineries savor sustainability over 3 days.

Spring has arrived and the Carmel area is gearing up for lots of great spring

events. Here are just a few coming up:

The Pebble Beach Food & Wine Weekend, April 12-15.

Come see famous chefs and winemakers from around the world at nearby Pebble Beach.

The Sea Otter Classic (not what you’d think). It’s a biking event at Laguna Seca Raceway in Monterey, held April 19-22, just minutes from our Carmel Inn.

The final big April event is the Big Sur International Marathon taking place bright and early on Sunday, April 29.

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas at Carmel Country Inn and as you can see here, I’m helping!

We have lots to do before next Sunday, December 4 when we will be part of the annual Carmel Heritage Society’s Inns of Distinction Tour. Not only will we have our Halls Decked Out, but touring participants will enjoy food from Portabella Restaurant, wine from Figge Cellars and Kenny Stahl, local Jazz Flutist will be in the house! Buy your ticket now from the Carmel Heritage Society, gee, come for the weekend, we still have a few rooms at our Carmel Bed and Breakfast!

Wildlife Expert Jack Hanna at our Carmel Inn

I’m sure all of you remember when Jack Hanna performed at the Sunset Center during his stay here at our Carmel B&B, and was gracious enough to take some photos with me? Yes, well, the new event calendar has been published and the gals are going to be hosting some of the stars. Not sure which ones yet, but check out the performances and cast! Howie Mandel, Joan Rivers, Shirley MacLaine, and Kevin Bacon – he has a band with his brother!

Go figure – So while Jack Hanna won’t be back this year, it looks like there are plenty of other excuses to come see me, Tescher Cat, at Carmel Country Inn and enjoy a performance at the Sunset Center.

Officially calling all MotoGP Fans, and all of you motorcycle enthusiasts out there! From July 22nd through the 24th, the Laguna Seca Raceway will again host the Red Bull U.S. Grand Prix weekend featuring the MotoGP World Championship.
